Artist's Description

This painting began as a wet-in-wet watercolor with no concept in mind. I applied my watercolor paint onto a very wet sheet of Arches 140 pound French handmade watercolor paper and let the colors flow on their own. When dry l indicated some petal and leaf shapes. I wanted to keep the colors transparent and bright. This painting is unframed.

Patton's oils, pastels and watercolors are filled with vivid colors, usually reflecting images from the area in which she lives and works.
