This painting began as a wet-in-wet watercolor with no concept in mind. I applied my watercolor paint onto a very wet sheet of Arches 140 pound French handmade watercolor paper and let the colors flow on their own. When dry l indicated some petal and leaf shapes. I wanted to keep the colors transparent and bright. This painting is unframed.

Karen Ann Patton is an award winning artist originally from New York, who now resides in Ormond Beach, Florida.
